Lucasraps Clinches Def Jam Africa Deal, Promises New Album, Drops New Single “Slide”

South African rapper Lucasraps has signed a new deal with Def Jam Africa, becoming the latest signee to the respected brand, which already has Boity, Nasty and Cassper Nyovest as signees.

He’s also release a new song titled “Slide” and announced a release date for his album. Titled “031 to the World,” the album he said, was a test of faith and patience in that he started working on it exactly three years ago, in 2018, accommodating new songs and tossing out others.

Ultimately, he said the project will be worth the time of his fans. Although it isn’t out yet ― the release date is October 1, 2021 ― the project is already available for preorder on Apple music and other digital stores. And for those who can’t wait, the songster has got a song for you. “Slide” is the 6th track in the upcoming body of work, and you can stream uit at the end of this post.

Although the details of the deal with Def Jam Africa aren’t out there, it is obvious getting signed to Def Jam was a dream  realized for the South African rapper. He’d liken it to Gog blessing his dreams.
